Background: Team 7's teacher, and has a mysterious background regarding his Sharingan that everyone's dying to find out.

The Deal with him: Kakashi's the 1st ninja in the series that we see wearing a mask. His past is shrouded in mystery. His left eye is an implanted Sharingan eye which he used to copy over thousands of techniques, and earned him the nickname of Copy Ninja Kakashi. Infact, his only original move is the Chidori (Chirping of a Thousand Birds) or later also known as Raikiri (Lightning Edge) for cutting through lightning.

Team 7 is the 1st group of Genins that Kakashi passed as it seemed that they have comprehended the importance of teamwork. Yet now, it seems that the teamwork is falling apart because of Sasuke's wussi-ness.

Though cool and very attractive, Kakashi is a somewhat biased teacher as we see that he places more energy in teaching Sasuke. He's not as serious when teaching Naruto and seems to give up on Sakura. He might be making the same mistake as Sandaime Hokage for 'investing' in the wrong ninja.
